The simple future tense is employed when an action is promised/thought to occur within the future.

Structure of the Future Indefinite Tense


Main verb: Present simple form (1st form of the verb)
Auxiliary verb: Will/Shall


Note: We use Shall with I and We.

Positive Sentence 


Subject + Will/Shall + Main verb + Object
Subject +Will/Shall + Present Participle ( First form of the verb) + Object.

►Example:

• She will clean her home.
• She will laugh to see her painting.
• You will pass the exam.
• He will ask me about my studies.
• He will play the game properly.
• She will cook food for guests.
• She will meet me in the classroom.
• I shall eat my meal.
• He will apply for a job.
• I will sell a mobile phone.

Negative Sentence 


Subject + Will/Shall + Not + Main verb + Object
Subject +Will/Shall + Not + Present Participle ( First form of the verb) + Object.


►Examples:

• He will not like the movie.
• She will not complete her work.
• He will not make a painting.
• They will not come here.
• You will not help her.
• He will not eat the food.
• She will not go to school.
• He will not buy a laptop.
• She will not find any job.
• He will not pass the interview.

Interrogative Sentence 


Will/Shall + Subject +  Main verb + Object
Will/Shall + Subject + Present Participle ( First form of the verb) + Object.



►Examples:

• Will she come here?
• Will he sing a song?

• Will they laugh?
• Will you watch the drama?
• Will he reach in his home?
