Personal pronouns are used as a substitute for an individual's name. There are two kinds: subjective and objective pronouns. That is they either act because of the subject of the sentence or the thing of the sentence.
As the subject of a sentence, they are:

As the object of the sentence, they are:

However, there also are independent possessive pronouns. These pronouns ask a previously named or understood noun. They stand alone and are not followed by the other noun.
